Chapter 1 — Parallel Hints

Hub: main guide.

There are many levels that exploit Split.

ID Level Revelation Hints
1-1 Fork Splitting tutorial. By pressing the split button while picking up the fork, a doppelganger will appear in theta's left and right cells.
1-2 DIRECTION I'm looking for a place where theta can split between the left and right. The star at the bottom right cannot be acquired at this time.
1-3 Side view If any of the theta's left and right are blocked during the split, the doppelgänger will exit in an unblocked direction and forward.
1-4 What is the true heart? Key and lock tutorial. A lock vanishes when touched while holding the key. Split while holding a key and both copies appear with the key.
1-5 Not a Gate Without a key, a lock can act as a wall.
1-6 Seal and stamp Four locks mean you must use keys and split efficiently. The star is not obtainable yet.
1-7 Transposition Cross-boundary tutorial. When Theta exits the level edge, they re-enter from the opposite side—that is cross-boundary. The two goals are an even number of cells apart, so use cross-boundary to adjust spacing between Thetas.
1-8 Quadrant Cross the border as in 1-8. After this level, the grid (city pine pattern) can be displayed by pressing the corresponding button. Since the grid can be left out from the settings, please set it as necessary.
1-9 Valve Switch block tutorial. A switch block is a block that corresponds to a switch of the same color. While pressing the switch or riding on the block, the block is lowered and you can pass over it.
1-10 Mass Boxes debut. Theta can push them, and they can weigh down switches.
1-11 Passage A level using boxes and switches. When pressing the blue switch, sending the box into the path first blocks the route to the goal, so avoid putting the box in too early.
1-12 Twist A box-and-switch level. Move one Theta into a box first, then carry the box to the switch.
1-13 Transport A box-and-switch level. A box can press a switch and also serve as weight on a switch block.
1-14 Trepanning White switch blocks are spaced one cell apart, so place boxes so you can step on a white switch every other action. When pressing the blue switch, use a box as you enter the path with the blue switch block.
1-15 Locked Since the goal is evenly separated, the theta should also be evenly separated from each other. The technique of adjusting the distance by immobilizing the theta with a switch and a box (hereinafter referred to as “locking”) is required.
1-16 Mutex The two boxes each hold the switch on the opposite side, blocking the path to the goal if only one of them is pushed. Use the starting box to push it out at the same time.
1-17 Quarter Opening four locks requires four keys. Space is tight, so use the T-junction.
1-18 Cue How to take the fork is the point level. You will need a theta with three people lined up to push the switch towards the goal.
1-19 Four Leaves The goals are arranged in a cross shape, and walking alone cannot meet the goals. Splitting when left and right and front are buried consumes only the fork, and when left and right are buried, the doppelgänger only appears before. We need 3 Theta.
1-20 Lustre Since there are 5 horizontal goals, you need to create a theta with 5 people side by side. The 1-18 fork method can be applied. The hint level is easy to understand.
1-0 (Fork) Hard to see, but a path continues below 1-20; grab the fork there to open the way forward.
1-X Dawn Levels with a hyphen or less than the level name are called meta levels, and most require a combination with another level. Let's use the fork.
1-Y Twilight Ibid.

Level addition (+)

Spoiler — Chapter 1 — Parallel — Level addition (+)

A way to connect multiple levels so they become one worldline. It happens when several Thetas enter different levels at different positions at the same time. Levels are chained left to right in ascending numeric order. Notation: LevelName1 + LevelName2.
